Judith Nagel

Judith Nagel was born in 1987 in the district of Miltenberg (Bavaria) and studied 2009-2013 contemporary stage dance at the hoogeschool voor de kunsten ArtEZ in Arnhem in the Netherlands. In her final year of study 2013/2014 she joined the Compagnia Zappalà Danza in Catania, Sicily.
After five years abroad, she moved to Berlin at the beginning of 2014 to work as a freelance dancer and choreographer. Since then she has worked with choreographers such as Christoph Winkler, Sita Ostheimer, Modjgan Hashemian, Sonia Rodriguez, Salvatore Romania (Compagnia Petranura Danza, IT), Stefan Panhans and Canan Erek. Her own site-specific pieces Fanny&Felix and halle9, which Judith Nagel created in collaboration with other artists, were premiered in her hometown of Miltenberg.
 
Besides contemporary pieces Judith Nagel also works as a performer/dancer and choreographer in movies and TV series like recently as choreographer for the TV series Babylon Berlin and “Little America”.
 
Furthermore, Judith Nagel is co-founder of the collective re-Dance in Frankfurt am Main, which is considered an innovative platform for parental performers.
